Congratulations Mama! Motherhood is a WONDERFUL thing and I can’t wait to share with you a registry checklist that will leave you feeling prepared for ANYTHING!

While you may check everything off of your registry checklist, something important to remember is that you will mostly get clothes. For some reason, the main gift given at baby showers is clothes – and not the ones you registered for. Everyone loves baby clothes but not everyone has a reason to buy them all the time. Also, they like buying something they know they will see them in.

However, you always want to make sure your baby registry is complete for those guests that want to get you everything your heart desires! Hopefully this registry checklist has everything you need and more! Let’s get started!

  • Coming Home Outfit
  • Newborn onesies
  • 0-3 month
    • onesies
    • pants
    • jacket or sweater
  • 3-6 month
    • onesies
    • pants
    • jacket or sweater
  • 6-9 month
    • onesies
    • pants
    • jacket or sweater
  • Socks!!! (Always buy extra because somehow they go missing! You thought YOUR sock problem was bad, wait until they are 10 times smaller and harder to keep track of as you are searching through your diaper bag!
  • Fuzzy socks
  • Mittens
  • Beanies

  • Bouncer (You can find my favorite bouncer in THIS POST! It quadruples as a bouncer, sit walker, activity table, and push walker!
  • Swing (I absolutely love this Graco Baby Swing!)
  • Walker (Again, you can find the absolute best walker/bouncer in my post about Toys You Should Buy Now and Let Them Grow Into. This will save SO much money on baby toys in the long run!)
  • Rattles (For some great rattle suggestions, check out my post that was basically created by veteran moms who share the Best Baby Toys for Babies 0-3 Months)
  • Books (I am a strong advocate for reading to your baby, so check out my post on 101 Baby Books for Babies First Library! My favorite thing to do with baby showers is to ask for a book instead of a card – the only thing is I hate not knowing what books the mama-to-be wants and has! Always register for books, especially when asking for them in place of a card! You’ll get less duplicates and more of what you want!)
  • Teething Toys
  • Stroller/car seat toys
  • Freezer toys (life saver in the summer!)
  • General Toys (Check out my posts Best Baby Toys for Babies 0-3 Months and Toys You Should Buy Now and Let Them Grow Into for some great toy ideas for your little one!)

  • Breast Pump (I absolutely love the Medela Freestyle Pump – it is great for on-the-go and pumping anywhere you need! I used to use it on long car rides with my little one so she could have a bottle whenever we needed it!)
  • Bottles
  • Nipple Butter
  • Storage bags
  • nursing pillow
  • bibs
  • bowls
  • sippy cups
  • spoons
  • burp cloths
  • nursing pads
  • bottle brush
  • bottle warmer
  • formula
  • bottle drying rack
  • Hakkaa (This is SERIOUSLY a life saver! Whoever said don’t cry over spilled milk must have been referring to the Hakkaa! It is a manual silicone breast pump that also serves as a drip catcher while feeding from the other breast! Check out my post on the Best Tasting Supply Boosting Recipes for more on the Hakkaa, why I love it, where to get it, and how to use it!)

  • Diaper Bag (There are so many options when it comes to diaper bags – you want something that is cute, functional, not too large, but still holds alot! Check out my post on The Best Diaper Bag and How to Pack it to see why the JuJu Bee Diaper Bag is SERIOUSLY my favorite! It holds SO much stuff but it’s not terribly huge!)
  • Wrap (I love my wrap! You can see which wrap I use by checking out my post on The Best Diaper Bag and How to Pack it. Scroll down to “what’s in my diaper bag” and find the honey bee wrap!)
  • Backpack Carrier
  • Shopping Cart Cover (Since we have been amid a global pandemic, I haven’t taken my little one to the grocery store. Once this is all over I’m sure she won’t let me leave her at home anymore!)
  • Car seat (I love my Chicco Bravo Travel System! It’s an infant car seat, toddler car seat, stroller, and they all have the ability to link together!)
  • Stroller (If you got the Chicco Bravo Travel System then you are all set!)
  • Travel Crib (I didn’t realize how important this was until it was too late! This can be a play pen that you take with you, or a designated crib. I personally think the play pen is too large, so I highly recommend the Easy Go Play and Crib Canopy! It is a blackout crib that tucks away neatly into a small bag that can be tucked under a seat in the car!)
  • Highchair (The Pegperego Highchair has been AMAZING! It has adjustable heights, can recline, folds up, and is completely separable for easy cleaning!)

  • Décor
  • Crib
  • Crib Mattress
  • Rocking Chair
  • Crib Bumper Pad
  • Laundry Hamper
  • Storage Bins (for small clothes, for toys, LOTS OF STORAGE)
  • Crib Sheets
  • Mattress Protector Sheets
  • Changing Pad
  • Diaper pail
  • Changing Table
  • Changing Pad Sheets
  • Diaper Pail Bags
  • Noise Machine (This was another purchase I didn’t make soon enough! I thought I was better than a noise machine and it turns out she was sleeping through the night once I got one! Don’t be like me – register for a noise machine! THIS NOISE MACHINE is perfect! It’s portable, has a night light built in, an automatic on/off timer, and it’s inexpensive!)
  • Humidifier (I just use THIS small office humidifier and it works wonders for her nursery!)
  • Baby Monitor (I have the AngelCare Movement and Sound Monitor and it works wonders! There is a sensor that you place under the mattress and it monitors when your baby moves. It also monitors the rooms temperature and alerts you if it is too high or too low (based on your own settings) and you can see and talk to your baby from the parent end!)
  • Night light
  • Mobile
  • Activity Gym (Check out my post on Toys You Should Buy Now and Let Them Grow Into to find my favorite activity gym as well as some other great ideas!)
  • Books (I know I already mentioned books in entertainment, but SERIOUSLY! This is how important reading is! So please, check out my post on 101 Books for Babies First Library. If you’ve already seen all of those and want something more festive, check out my post of Fall Baby Books You’ll FALL in Love With!)

  • Infant bath
  • Hooded towels
  • Wash clothes
  • Baby shampoo
  • Bubbles
  • Lotion
  • Soothing nighttime soap
  • Soothing nighttime lotion
  • Bath toys (If you choose squirty toys, be prepared to glue them shut right away. If you are getting them for someone else – honestly, I would LOVE it if someone glued them for me. So, feel out the situation or straight up ask if they’d love for you to do that!)
  • Bath toy storage

Health and Safety

  • Diaper rash cream
  • Baby powder
  • Grooming Kit
  • Electric Nail file (Check out my post on How to Cut Your Baby’s Nails for more tips and tricks before choosing your nail cutting tool!)

  • Nursery Hangers
  • Diapers and wipes (Check out my post on 5 Baby Wipes that ACTUALLY Smell Good to find out which wipes will work for you!)

    1. Everyone raged about having a breast pump so I got the one I mentioned above and I absolutely love it! But I hardly ever used it! Since I am a SAHM (and we’re in a pandemic) I just did/do on demand nursing. So, it wasn’t necessary for this baby, but I am super glad to have it for future babies AND it comes in handy when I want to have the occasional celebratory night with more than just one glass of wine!

  1. This is awesome! I’m pregnant with my 3rd like Amy, but we sort of got rid of all our baby stuff a couple years ago, then changed our minds LOL. So this is very helpful!

  2. Yesssssss so many good suggestions! I’m about to have my second and forgot to buy a new haaka! Ordering it now bc you’re right it’s the best!

    1. Yay! I don’t know what I would do without my hakkaa! I just heard a super great suggestion recently – put it on when you get in the shower! I usually have my little one in a bath below me and I know it’s not much but the dripping could be beneficial, but I would much rather save it with my hakkaa and use it later in mass amounts! Something to think about!

  3. You’ve literally thought of everything! As a mom of 4 I found myself saying , “yep you need that, and that!”

Only thing I would add is the Doona carseat! It is the absolute Best! It is a bucket carseat that converts to a stroller. It is a game changer!

    1. OH MY GOSH!!! I just saw that this weekend! I walked into Walmart and a woman was folding up her stroller into something that fit into the cart and I was shocked! I was pointing and hitting my husband but I didn’t catch what it was called! Thank you for this! I ABSOLUTELY agree that the Doona Carseat is a MUST!!!!!!
