From the moment your baby was born, they were ready to start learning and conquering the world – but how? Playtime is the best form of learning for a baby and I want to share with you the best toys for babies 0 to 3 months.
In this post you will find the results of 29 moms who shared their favorite toys for babies 0-3 months. These moms have done the work to find the best toys for their babies when they were 0 to 3 months so you don’t have to! Let’s see what they had to say.
My Baby’s Longest Loved Toy
I want to start off my telling you MY absolutely favorite toy that I bought when my baby was 2 months old (and she was a month preemie!). She is still using it and loving it at 9 months. My Tiny Love 4-in-1 Here I Grow Walker and Mobile Activity Center. It can come in pink and green or green and teal, I think there might even be a few more color options now.
She started out watching as I played with it and she was supported by ample amounts of blankets, then she began playing with it by herself and it has been a blast ever since! It is a fun baby seat, a walker, a bouncer, a push walker, and a play table for when they have mastered their movement development! I love how many stages it covers for just one toy!
When my baby was between 0 to 3 months, I would remove the toys from the table and let her manipulate them and get comfortable. This is a great toy because it grows with your baby!
Another great toy for babies 0 to 3 months is the Sassy Stackable Rings! My little one loved those from 1 month old because they were fun to look at, then they became fun to touch, then fun to eat, and now they’re fun to stack! (I seriously ONLY bought toys that grew with my baby because I did NOT want to spend excessive money on toys every few months or even weeks!)
Honestly though, these toys are great for learning because they have different patterns, different weights, different sizes, and different textures to each ring! This is my second most highly recommended toy!
Tummy Time Toys
Tummy Time is a great place to start for newborns! You can take a plain old blanket and supply interesting things to look at or you can buy a tummy time mat and this can be a starting point for any play time for babies 0 to 3 months.
The Skip Hop Silver Lining Cloud Baby Play Mat and Infant Activity Gym was suggested by Alexis.
I have this same exact one and I will say that it is another super great toy for little ones because it can last up to a few years with its detachable piano piece!
Kayla says that all four of her kiddos loved when they got their Baby Banana Toothbrush, and it’s perfect when they start teething and showing teeth!
Michelle’s babies loved their First Years Rattle.
Melanie suggests Ankle Rattles! They are great for when your baby is too little to do much other than move their limbs and hear the rattles! It really got her kiddos moving!
Bethany says her ANGELBLISS Baby Rattle was a great first toy for her baby.
Heather loves her Brica Cruisin’ Baby in-sight Car Mirror. It sings upbeat and sleepy songs to baby while playing a light show to the music. All while allowing her to see her baby while she drives!
Baby Einstein Flip for Art High Contrast Floor Activity Mirror was a win for Rachel baby who’s still using it at 1 1/2!
Bath toys don’t have to start out in the bath! For my baby’s first Easter, we got her some bath toys that she just looked at and then slowly started to play with. Once she was ready for playtime in the bath, we took them with us!
Lisa suggests the Sassy Catch and Count Net!
Allie said her 1 month old loved watching the Munchkin Foam Bath Letters and Numbers float around the tub; now he loves playing with them!
These Bath Books were a huge success in Annie’s house.
“Toys” for Bedtime
Lizette suggests the Taggies Sensory Animal Security Blanket.
A mobile is must-have for nursery decor and Amber says that she absolutely loves this cheap but adorable Chicken Mobile for the crib! It comes in pink, green, or blue!
Maybe you are looking for toys that are great for car seats, cars, strollers, or more! Above, you will see a super great Brica Cruisin’ Baby in-sight Car Mirror that works wonders! Here are some other great on-the-go toys:
Elizabeth swears by the Tiny Love Take-Along Arch because you can stick it to anything – strollers, car seats, chairs in the doctor’s office, highchairs at a restaurant – anything!
Leah suggests this Lamaze Clip and Go Peacock with a mirror, crinkle paper, teethers, a squeaker and more!
Leilani says the toy that lasted the longest in her household was a Hanging Car Seat Stroller Plush Mobile that works on just about anything!
These are the toys that are just fun for playtime in general!
After I looked into these myself, they are SUPER cool and I can’t wait to get some for my baby! They come in so many different types of cars and colors!
In Mikayla’s house, the best toys for babies are BOOKS! She says reading is the best way to play and learn with your baby!
